横５４ｃｍ縦４４ｃｍ金属製看板。古いので多少の傷や角に歪みが有ります。タバコの箱の部分だけ少し立体に成って。

７枚目の写真は裏側ですが、青いライタ－を大きさの参照の為に映しておきました。

米国ではタバコの健康への影響は早くから問題視され、TV等での広告は出来ませんでした。看板は重要だったのです。

タバコは斜陽の一途ですが、R.J. Reynolds Tabacco Companyは多くのブランドを持っていました。

Salem is an American brand of cigarettes, currently owned and manufactured by ITG Brands,

a subsidiary of Imperial Tobacco, inside the U.S. and by Japan Tobacco outside the United States.

Salem was launched in 1956 by the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company as the first filter-tipped Menthol cigarette.When the brand was introduced in 1956, Salem's slogan was "Take a puff, it's springtime" which was used for several years afterwards.

Its name (along with that of the Winston brand) derives from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the city where RJR was founded and headquartered.
